Loveworld Inc Founder Empowers Local Youths with Entrepreneurial Skills and Grants
In a heartwarming display of philanthropy and community support, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, the esteemed founder of Loveworld Inc, has launched a Skill Acquisition Program aimed at empowering the youth in Ajegunle and its surrounding areas. This transformative initiative, which had its roots in 2020 with several test runs, saw its full-fledged commencement in February 2023. A remarkable total of 500 students embarked on this educational journey, culminating in the graduation of 100 accomplished individuals who were rewarded with grants to further their ambitions.
The graduation ceremony, a momentous occasion held on October 7, 2023, at the Marcana Football Field, was graced with the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including HRH, OBA OYEKUNLE ATANDA OLUWA, the King of Oluwa and Apapa Kingdom. His Highness expressed deep gratitude to Pastor Chris Oyakhilome for his benevolent act in fostering capacity building and entrepreneurship development within the community. Furthermore, he endorsed the practice of reading “Rhapsody of Realities,” a daily devotional authored by Pastor Chris, as a powerful tool for spiritual and mental growth.
The students who successfully completed the program had delved into a diverse array of crafts, including Fashion Designing, Make Up, Catering, Baking, Hair Making, Shoe Making, Graphic Designing, Carpentry, and Barbing, among others. Each of the 100 graduates was awarded grants of 150,000 Naira, providing them with a financial springboard for their future endeavors.
Mr. Daniel Atima, the dedicated coordinator of the Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Skill Acquisition Program, motivated the youth to aspire to greatness and emphasize their significance within the society through the skills they had acquired during the program. He underscored the importance of dedicating their lives to Christ, drawing inspiration from the life of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, who continues to selflessly facilitate these life-changing opportunities.
But the philanthropic efforts did not stop at education and grants. The organization also distributed food palliatives to over 500 families present at the ceremony and donated essential hospital furniture to the Ajeromi Ifelodun Health Centre. These actions demonstrate the program’s holistic approach in positively impacting the lives and well-being of the local population.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is renowned for his numerous charitable initiatives, not only within Nigeria but across the world. His humanitarian arm, the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation International, played a pivotal role during the COVID-19 pandemic, delivering vital relief to thousands of families in Lagos, Benin, Port-Harcourt, and various regions across the country. The agency also provided assistance to more than 6,000 pastors and ministries. Furthermore, the foundation extended its support to the victims of the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, making a profound impact on over 20,000 Internally Displaced Persons.
As the year progresses, the Skill Acquisition Program continues its mission of empowerment, with over 250 students slated to graduate by Q1 2024. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s unwavering commitment to uplifting communities remains an inspiration, offering hope and real opportunities for a brighter future for countless individuals.
